South London-based post-punk outfit The Sound never achieved the success they deserved, despite support from John Peel, being on Korova with Echo & The Bunnymen and touring with The Comsat Angels. Their 1980 debut album Jeopardy, an existentialist yet energetic set featuring the single Heyday, is one of the most underrated records of the era in post-punk.
