Although he never received much recognition, Philadelphian Bill Barron (1927-1989) was an advanced and adventurous tenor saxophonist who never compromised his music. Every one of Bill Barron’s recordings as a leader features brother Kenny Barron (16 years his junior) on piano. Both are present on this 1961 LP Modern Windows, which consists of two extended suites composed by the saxophonist.
