A limited-edition boxed set celebrating the family archive of the legendary Dundonian singer, songwriter, artist and actor Michael Marra.
The edition of 250 boxes is a collaboration between Eddie Summerton, DOJ City Audio Print Publishing and Assai Records.
The limited editioned box includes:
– A 200-page hard back, full colour book focusing on Michaels archive of artworks and handwritten songs. The book gathers in voices of 14 writers connected by a shared song, story, love and life – Val McDermid, Jim Crumley, Anna Newell, Brian Cox, Frank Gilfeather, Lesley Riddoch, Andrew Wasylyk, Lorraine Wilson, Loudon Wainwright III , Martin McCardie, Phill Jupitus, Roddy Woomble, Saint Andrew, Gerry Hassan and Liz Lochhead.
– A newly produced vinyl LP collecting 14 unreleased demos and home recordings compiled by Michaels son Matthew. The collection spans 35 years of songwriting and features early versions of classic album tracks, alongside rarely heard and previously unheard songs.
– A publication illuminating Peggy Marras never seen before collection of over 35 years of newspaper cuttings reviewing Michaels fascinating stage life.
– A booklet featuring a Michael Marra / Saint Andrew song collection, with handwritten notes and translations by Michael and Saint Andrew.
– A reprint of Michael Craigs From the Overgate to Anchorage newsletter, originally produced in 1996.
