Alter your perspective, and fear can be transformed into something else. Thats exactly what Papa Roach did on album number eight, flipping fear on its head to create the inspiring acronym that gave the record its title – face everything and rise.

Produced by Kane Churko [Ozzy Osbourne, Five Finger Death Punch, In This Moment], ‘F.E.A.R.’ was also notable for featuring two significant and very different collaborations. While historically, Papa Roach hadnt been ones for guest features, they flipped the script by bringing on board In This Moment frontwoman Maria Brink for the searing, confessional Gravity and rapper Royce Da 59 for fizzing electro-rock closer Warriors.

Upon release, ‘F.E.A.R.’ ushered in another surge in success for Papa Roach. Outselling their two previous albums, it landed at #15 on the Billboard 200 chart and #13 in the UK, marking their return to the latter territorys Top 15 for the first time since 2002s ‘Lovehatetragedy’.

Now celebrating its 10th anniversary, ‘F.E.A.R.’ is fittingly getting its first vinyl pressing in territories outside the US with Earache Records. It accompanies the Earache’s reissues of 2010’s ‘Time For Annihilation’ and 2017’s ‘Crooked Teeth’, which together affirm the bands enduring strength that persisted as the 2000s turned into the 2010s. In the 2020s, theyve remained steadfast, conquering UK arenas earlier this year with their Rise Of The Roach tour.
