Scottish singer Quinie releases her third album ‘Forefowk, Mind Me’ with Upset The Rhythm. ‘Forefowk, Mind Me’ is a Scots-language album by Quinie, exploring the connection between tradition, landscape, and ancestry. The title, meaning “ancestors,” reflects the need to reconnect with and preserve traditions. Inspired by Scottish Traveller singers, Quinie began performing these songs to raise awareness of the marginalized Traveller community. The album was developed during a pilgrimage across Argyll, blending music with a film and book documenting her journey. Recorded in August 2024, the album features an ensemble of musicians bridging traditional and experimental sounds. This edition comes with a limited art print.
